If you perceive an otherwise smart person as doing something stupid or nonsensical, there are two possible realities:

• you found a kink in their intellectual armor
• or you don’t have all the facts of the situation

It’s more likely to be the latter. Don’t be too quick to judge thoughtless moments of intelligent people.
