Is the world really faster paced than 50 years ago?

It’s a common perception, for sure. But perhaps the information flow we have access to just makes it feel faster paced.

The frustration we fell at life moving too quickly by didn’t start with the advent of the internet. In decades past, people didn’t “stop to smell the roses” any more than we do today. (The phrase has been around at least since 1980, variants since 1956, and probably a lot longer than that).
