    What?

FountainPhoto.com was once a standalone blog, now integrated into will.koffel.org. It is my personal art photography blog. It’s a place for me to gather images I’m proud of, give the occasional commentary on photography topics and techniques, and help drive my own photography to grow and improve.

To learn more about the gear I own, the books I read, and the sites I visit, hop over to the resources page.

    When?

This blog began in April of 2004, but I’ve been interested in photography much longer. My mother enjoyed SLR film photography when I was growing up, and I had point-and-shoot cameras through my childhood. In college, I had a chance to take a course in scientific and strobe photography, where I learned darkroom skills and some of the equations behind the magic of lenses and light. After that, I purchased my first digital camera, and this site has grown from there.

    Where?

I shoot in the Boston area where I reside, and on travels all around the country and world, when I’m lucky enough to get away and manage to bring my camera with me.

    Why?

For my own interest and growth, for the benefit of my friends and family, and hopefully to brighten a corner of the internet with images that you will enjoy!
